Kisnn Associates, Inc. a service organization focused on Transportation Operations, Transportation Planning, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Work Zone Planning activities is soliciting resumes to fill Operation Analyst positions at one of their client’s offices located in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
The Senior ITS Specialist is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of equipment and software for client’s ITS. Areas of responsibility include supervision of planning and design work, coordination of and participation in agency review of all project plans; facilitation of field and office installation, maintenance, and technical support arrangements with the agencies and the private vendor, and on-site supervision of installation, maintenance, and technical support work performed by the private vendor, both in the field (at highway and transit facilities) and in client’s Operations Centers. The Senior ITS Specialists also provide assistance with implementation and technical support for other client systems. The Senior ITS Specialists may supervise the work of Assistant ITS Specialists on a project basis. This position may be located at our client’s offices.

- Create spreadsheets, reports, letters, emails and any other form of communication and documentation as required.

Understanding concept of 24/7/365 workplace.
a) Rotating shifts (monthly rotations between morning, afternoon/evening, overnight)
b) Potential for mandatory OT
c) Work holidays
d) Work weekends
e) Work extended shifts (8 hours)
- Capable of proactively identifying issues on the project and raising them through the relevant channels in the organization.
- Ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities with demonstrated experience providing direction/supervising to a team
- Capable of working across multiple projects and contracts at one time
- Capable of reporting to management
- Valid driver’s license
- Comply with client’s Administrative & ITS Policies and Procedures
- Experience working in a fast-paced IT environment
- Knowledge of the transportation networks
a) Can identify most major bridges/tunnels and interstates throughout NYC Region
- Ability to analyze data (graphs, trends, information on maps, charts etc.)
- Networking/Computer skills (Proficiency with Microsoft Word and working knowledge of other products including Excel, PowerPoint)
- Multi-task (ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with field installations or maintenance of field equipment
- Prior experience working with contractors or consultants on ITS projects
- Strong knowledge of NY/NJ/CT roadways/bridges/tunnels
- Familiarity with crowd sourcing
- Experience working with IT/office budgets
